pre race from the "plastic classic" the following is taken from the "plastic classic" website; "There was some after-race grousing about the true design date of the Express 27, but since there was no official protest the BVBC decided not to make a deal out of it. Does anyone know the true design date of the E-27? If so, please send the BVBC Race Committee an email at bayviewracing@sbcglobal.net

The Light'n up recieved three awards last night at the end of the 21st annual "Plastic Classic Regatta" and boat show. 3rd place for the "nicest interior", 1st place for "most stock boat", and 1st place (racing) "spinnaker division". There were many boats in the race, a fair amount of breeze, ships, lots of sun, and a woman flashing her boobs at the end of the race. We had a great time. for more info about the "Plastic Classic" go to http://www.plasticclassic.com/

went on a very windy sail today. it looked like it was going to be very wet but Bruce was able to find a way to go upwind without drenching all of us...thanks man....our sail ended with a fast kite ride home. As I write this it sounds as if there is a war going on outside. People have been setting fireworks off non-stop for ...oh...about 4 or 5 hours now... with house shaking, tooth vibrating booms about every 3 minutes............I find it very hard to sleep tonight.

A long time ago, on a body of water far from some of you, the good ship light'n-up set out on a sail out into the ocean on a very questionable day (looked like rain...felt like rain for a moment or two too). we made it out to about buoy #5 (nearly to the lightship for all of you with nautical charts). the weather cleared to delightful, we saw dolphins, seals/ sea lions, various types of birds, sailboats starting a race down the coast (the closest of which was a boat not unknown to us [and vice versa] all done up in foul weather gear [much like we are here] sailing up wind as we sailed downwind [in shorts and t-shirts], and yes, we had a hell of a time. the photos that follow are not in order and very late in posting...sorry....
